Plainfield Township

Welcome to Plainfield Township

The setting for our community has been described by many as “the land of sixty lakes”, including the Huron National Forest and Ausable River, characterized with hiking, fishing, orv trails, boating, and any other imaginable outdoor activity.  And on the other hand we have a community spirit that shows our devotion in all we do. From holiday happenings to just plain fun like the Iosco County Fair, Michigan Mud Jam, and the Fall Festival.

If you have never visited Plainfield Township, give us a try and you too will call it “home sweet home” and will want to join our growing community.

Plainfield Township started out as a logging community in 1868.
Come Join us! Celebrating 150 Years!
Plainfield Township Sesquicentennial motto is “It all started with a tree.”
