Meeting was called to order by Supervisor Lewis at 6:30 pm followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Present: Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly. Guests: 5

Approval of Agenda : Motion by Bassi supported by Allen to accept agenda as presented. All Ayes. Motion carried.

Public Comment: Jim Mortimer spoke

Board Comments: Lewis is applying for Fire Fighter Equipment Grant. Lewis is ordering battery backup for computer room.

Minutes from Regular Meeting April 19th, 2023: Motion by Houthoofd supported by Reilly to approve the Regular Meeting Minutes from April 19th, 2023. All Ayes. Motion approved.

Financial Report: Presented by Bassi.

Budget Report: Presented by Lewis.

Presentation of Bills: Motion by Allen supported by Houthoofd . Roll call vote: Ayes: Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly. Nays: none. Motion carried.

Project Updates: Sewer pump on 65 has been replaced. The one by Pine Street is gonna need a little more work to be pulled out. Downtown Bench pads have been moved to fall due to contractors busy schedule. New roofs at RCC and Eagle Pointe has a few leaks and have been fixed. Colvins have fixed the leaks in the ceiling. Still leaking a little, they will be back. Towerline/Webb has been paved. There is some work on Webb that will need to be fixed. Carpet at the Resource Center is coming along good. Bathroom Stall Petitions need to be redone due to the way they were originally put in. Lewis ordered some new brackets.
Webb said they will be working on the well at the fire hall next week. Bart Stern will be doing the electrical for the new pump. The Garden Club wants to put up a recognition board at the gazebo. The Recycle program is looking for 3 sites, Plainfield, Baldwin and Oscoda for the new recycle center for Iosco County.. They will install gate. Board oks Lewis to pursue as long as we figure out how to secure people from using the waste site that come to the recycle center that are not in our township.

Fair Booth Rental: Motion by Reilly supported by Bassi to approve the Fair Booth Rental of $500 for the rent of a booth at the Iosco County Fair. Roll call vote: Ayes: Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly. Nays: none. Motion carried.

Blight Grant Cordinator: Motion by Bassi supported by Allen to appoint Shawn Holliday as Blight Grant Cordinator. Roll call vote: Ayes: Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly. Nays: none. Motion carried.

Committee/Department Reports: Historical Society will be displaying their quilts at the Hale Country Quilters Quilt show this Saturday. They announced there will also be a program called Under the Radar at the Resource Center on Saturday from 6-8 pm. Planning commission is finishing up the Master Plan.

Michigan scenic by-way, River road scenic by-way is part of township starts at Rollways, the pavilion is the last CCC building still standing. Corridor is looking for our support for preservation. c.
