Curator Report: Special museum hours during fair; open Tuesday through Friday from 10 until 3:00; one person on Wednesday and two on Friday. (Nancy Howse who took over the Antique Booth had to do an eleven-hour day because of lack of people to cover the building.) Four people came in during Primary in August. October Open House has been canceled.
Old Business: Bernie commented we need to begin work next Tuesday on the Thompson Cemetery sign; need to research when it was established; need to put into writing exactly what will go on sign and where fencing will be placed. Noted cemetery is on Federal land and everything must conform to their regulations. Amy suggested we draw a plat and put on Facebook to see if people could fill in the missing grave names. Estimated 40 to 60 graves. Jerry suggested we put newsletter in township tax bills with information about what we are currently working on and questions we may have. Amy suggested we could have Fred add something to his column in What’s Happening. Need to look at plat maps to determine exactly where cemetery is located. Suggestion to check Scofield Real Estate for old plat maps. Jim suggested we do a new informational flyer to put in tax bills; who will do stuffing??
New Business: Jerry suggested we look again at Past Perfect Networking-cost, evaluate value to us, how many people will be able to work at one time, requirements of the system; current booster-what is the speed?; Bernie has concern over security and loss of data if all stored in Cloud. Motion by Amy to look at Past Perfect Networking again at the next meeting, second Jerry-approved. Jerry talked about the value of the Hale High School graduation photos and getting the names in Past Perfect along with individual photos. Jerry has volunteered to input names.
Motion by Amy to adjourn at 6:37 pm, second Jerry-approved. Submitted by Diane Blevins, Acting Secretar
