Plainfield Township Planning and Parks and Recreation Commission
Regular meeting
April 8, 2026

  1. Called to order by McDonellat 6:30p.m.
  2. Pledge of allegiance was said by all present.
  3. Roll Call:
    a. Present: Toth,Thayer, McDonell, Olmstead, Morell, Johnson
    b. Absent: Heal
  4. Guest: Fred Lewis, supervisor; Heather from Nemcog, Patrickzoning enforcement
  5. Approval of Agenda:
    a. Motion by Johnson andseconded byMcDonellMotion carried byvoice, all ayes.
  6. Approval of Minutes: Motion by Toth, seconded byMcDonellto approve theMarch 25, 2026minutes. Motion carried by voice, all ayes.
  7. Township board report: Lewis: approved budget, update on Library move, no timeline yet. Met with school board on path. Easements on parcels, spoke to MTF about getting grants to put in when surveyed easements are recorded. Tree trimming downtown. Hunt brothers have contract for concrete for new stop light at Main street. Garden club is commissioned to make a large eagle, will be looking for donations. Eric Wiltse. Scorpion metal works on facebook. Adopted the assessing audit policy
  8. ZBA Report: Toth:no meeting

  10. New Business:
    a. Long Lake Garage Condominium: Lewis updating on site Condominium information. Lots meet zoning requirements, site Condo, land division and subdivision are ways to divide property. Condo Act of 1978, common elements and a master deed, like an HOA agreement. By-laws are also required. Also need to see Grading and drainageplan(water retention pond) , roads. Passed out a list of requirements for condo master plans. With no water and sewer, the plan has to go to Health Department for approval. Has 3 garages already on property. Originally, said wells will be available. Floor drains are a concern. Will need to review when received.
  11. Old Business:
    a. Heather Runyan Nemcog Master Plan: Wrote background chapters. Reviewedand updated.
