Meeting was called to order at 6:30 by Supervisor Lewis followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present: Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly. 5 Guests
Approval of Agenda: Motion by Bassi supported by Reilly to approve the Agenda as presented. All Ayes. Motion carried.
Public Comment: One person spoke
Board Comments: Bassi wants a workshop on Wastesite. The Board agreed on Wednesday, August 2nd, 2023 at 6:30 pm. Lewis attended Rural Leadership Conference on July 28th.
Minutes from Regular Meeting June 21st, 2023: Motion by Reilly supported by Bassi to approve minutes from Regular Meeting June 21st, 2023. All Ayes. Motion carried.
Financial Report: Presented by Bassi.
Budget Report: Presented by Lewis.
Presentation of Bills: Motion by Houthoofd supported by Allen to pay bills as presented.

Project Updates: Well at the firehall is in it just needs to be hooked up. New cook stove at the Resource Center is hooked up. Brush Pile needs to be pushed back. Some of the Street Lights are in. Blight Grant Received-asbestos has been inspected. Rcc and Twp Parking lots need to be sealcoated.
Fire Protection Contracts approval: Motion by Reilly supported by Allen to approve
Fire Contracts with Grant, Goodar and Hill Townships. . Roll call vote: Ayes: Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly. Nays: none. Motion carried.
Fire Department new personnel: Motion by Houthoofd supported by Bassi to agree to hire Devon Summerland as firefighter, and Emily Bain as Cadet. Roll call vote: Ayes: Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly. Nays: none. Motion carried.
Letter of Support for DI application Rural Readiness Grant: Motion by Reilly supported by Houthoofd to approve letter of support for Develop Iosco for the Office of Rural Development Rural Readiness Grant and MSHTA Housing Authority Hope Grant. Roll call vote: Ayes: Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly. Nays: none. Motion carried.
Committee Department Report: Chief Lauria commented on a Water Training that they had on Tuesday Night with Tawas Fire Department. Historical reminded the Board that Fair is next week.
