Special Board Meeting
Private Road Maintenance SAD October 17th, 2022
Meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm by Supervisor Lewis followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present: Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly. Guests: 40
Approval of Agenda: Motion by Houthoofd supported by Bassi to accept Agenda as presented. All Ayes: Motion carried.
Motion by Reilly supported by Allen to open Public Hearing at 6:02 pm. All Ayes. Motion carried.
Supervisor Lewis explained how a Special Assessment Works thru Public Act 188.
Representatives from Leclair Trail, Avalon Dr. and Terry Lane spoke. There are 12 people on Terry Lane and with the 4 in attendance they have 7 now for not wanting the assessment. Caverly will still keep price the same for everyone else even though Terry Lane is removed from list.
Two letters against their road being included in the Assessment were from
Don Morrissett of Maple and Sunset and Harold Bernthal of Slosser Road.

Resolution: Motion by Houthoofd supported by Allen to approve The Assessment Roll for Private Roads Resolution #09242022 with the exclusion of Terry Lane. Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly. Nays: none. Motion carried.
Road Contract: Motion by Bassi supported by Reilly to award Grace Caverly the Private Road Contract excluding Terry Lane. Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly. Nays: none. Motion carried
