Wednesday, August 17th, 2022

Meeting was called to order by Supervisor Lewis at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Present: Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly 5 Guests.

Approval of Agenda: Motion by Reilly supported by Allen to accept Agenda as presented. All Ayes. Motion carried.

Public Comment: 2 people spoke

Board Comments: Lewis commented that he has talked to Road Commission and they are making plans to do some work on Towerline Rd. Lewis received an email from the Health Dept that they would like to use Eagle Pointe Plaza as an Emergency Operation Center. He will bring more information to the next meeting. Lewis stated that the Iosco County Millage will be on the November Ballot with different wording.

Approval of Minutes: Motion by Houthoofd supported by Bassi to approve minutes from Regular Meeting on July 20th, 2022. All Ayes. Motion approved.

Financial Report: Presented by Bassi.

Budget Report: Presented by Lewis.

Presentation of Bills: Motion by Allen supported by Houthoofd to pay bills as presented.
Roll call vote: Ayes: Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly. Nays: none. Motion carried.

Private Road Update: Lewis still receiving letters and emails about SAD.

FD Well update: Still waiting on quote from Webb Well Drilling.

State Police Update: Everything on schedule.

Boiler Bids: Motion by Bassi supported by Allen to approve Colvins bid on the Boiler system.
Roll call vote: Ayes: Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly. Nays: none. Motion carried

Gypsy Moth Consultant Contract: Motion by Houthoofd supported by Reilly to accept Aquatic Consulting Services Contract for Gypsy Moth Survey. Roll call vote: Ayes: Allen, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly. Nays: Bassi. Motion carried.

Private Road Hearing: Motion by Allen supported by Houthoofd to move the Private Road SAD Hearing to Saturday, September 10th at 10 a.m. Roll call vote: Ayes: Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly. Nays: none. Motion carried

State Police Motion: Motion by Bassi supported by Reilly to accept the State Police Lease and direct the Supervisor to sign on behalf of the Township. Roll call vote: Ayes: Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly. Nays: none. Motion carried

DNR Long Lake Park Lease Extension: Motion by Reilly supported by Allen to accept Lease Extension of Long Lake Park. Roll call vote: Ayes: Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly. Nays: none. Motion carried.

Fire Truck Repair approval: Motion by Allen supported by Bassi to approve repairs on Fire Truck by West Side Body Shop. Roll call vote: Ayes: Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly. Nays: none. Motion carried.

Committee Department Reports: Historical Society said their booth they had at the fair was good. Parks and Rec working on finishing up the Master Plan. They are working on a Grant for the Township Park. Lewis and Houthoofd attended County Parks and Rec Meeting.

Motion by Bassi to adjourn at 8:05 p.m. All Ayes. Motion carried.
