Plainfield Township Historical Commission Minutes May 18, 2021 Regular Meeting Meeting called to order at 5:40 p.m. by Chairman Gene Nash
Roll call: present: Chairman-Gene Nash, Vice Chairman-Rona Dane Sullivan, Treasurer-Amy Alberts, Acting Secretary-Diane Blevins, Member-at-large-Jerry Hewitt, Also present: Kim Kocher Excused-Bernie Nuttall Motion to approve agenda by Jerry, second by Rona, passed Correction to minutes from April 20, 2021-“The commission did not meet January 19, 2021 due to Covid restrictions.”
Motion to approve minutes with correction by Jerry, second Kim, passed.
Motion to approve slate of officers for 2021-2022: Gene Nash, Rona Dane Sullivan, Jim Kesler, Amy Alberts, and Bernie Nuttall to be presented at the Township Board meeting on May 19, 2021 by Gene Nash, second Kim Kocher, passed. Old Business Discussion of proposed changes to Bylaws; proposed changes attached. Motion to amend request to purchase two desks to now include three desks and one chair by Amy Alberts, second Jerry Hewitt, passed New Business Report by Diane Blevins on Past Perfect Museum software and commission digital files. All files and museum software files are now on the township server. It is operating on two laptops at this time. We are waiting for a router to complete the upgrade. Motion to purchase a router by Amy Alberts, second Rona Dane Sullivan, passed. Discussion on having a computer center for the public to do genealogy research, check into getting an Ancestry membership such as a library version, also need for another laptop and desk. Gene will discuss with Fred Lewis. Treasurer’s report by Amy Alberts, discussed expenses from past year.
