Regular Meeting Plainfield Township Eagle Pointe Plaza

Wednesday, June 16th, 2021 6:30 pm

Meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm by Supervisor Lewis followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. 

Present:  Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly.
Guests:  5

Approval of Agenda:   Motion by Reilly supported by Bassi to accept the agenda with the following changes: under new business, add letter e) Move money from General Fund to Gypsy Moth fund.  All ayes.  Motion carried.

Public Comments:  none

Approval of Minutes:  Motion by Allen supported by Bassi to approve minutes from May 19th, 2021 Regular Minutes and April 21, 2021 Amending Regular Meeting Minutes.  All ayes. Motion carried.

Financial Report:  Presented by Bassi.

Budget Report:  Presented by Lewis.

Budget Hearing: 

Motion by Lewis supported by Allen to open Budget Public Hearing.  All Ayes. Motion carried.

Budget Hearing opened at 6:35 pm.

Public Comment:  none

Motion by Bassi supported by Houthoofd to close Public Hearing.  All ayes, Motion carried.

Budget Hearing closed at 6:39 pm.

Adopt General Appropriations Act:  Motion by Bassi supported by Houthoofd to adopt General Appropriations Act for 2021-2022 Budget.  Roll call vote:  Ayes:  Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly.  Nays: none.  Motion carried.

Presentation of Bills:  Motion by Allen supported by Houthoofd to pay the bills as presented.  .  Roll call vote:  Ayes:  Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly.  Nays: none.  Motion carried.

Downtown Sidewalk Replacement Approval:  Motion by Bassi supported by Reilly to approve the Downtown sidewalk replacement approval for $1750.00 per Hunt Brothers.  Roll call vote:  Ayes:  Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly.  Nays: none.  Motion carried.

Plaza and Ramp installation and Sidewalk Repair:  Motion by Allen supported by Houthoofd to approve the Installation of Ramp and Sidewalk Repair at the Plaza for $10100.00 per Hunt Brothers. Roll call vote:  Ayes:  Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly.  Nays: none.  Motion carried.

Planning/Park/ Rec to $50 per meeting for added work:  Motion by Lewis supported by Bassi to approve Planning/Parks and Rec to receive 50$ per meeting for added work.  .  Roll call vote:  Ayes:  Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly.  Nays: none.  Motion carried.

Resolution for Alternate Dates for July and Dec BOR:  Motion by Bassi supported by Allen to accept Resolution for Alternate Dates for July and Dec Board of Review.  .  Roll call vote:  Ayes:  Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly.  Nays: none.  Motion carried.

Resolution for Alternate Dates for March BOR:  Motion by Reilly supported by Bassi to approve Resolution for Alternate dates for March Board of Review.  .  Roll call vote:  Ayes:  Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly.  Nays: none.  Motion carried.

Resolution to Establish a Policy for Accessibility of the Assessors Office to the Taxpayers:  Motion by Houthoofd supported by Allen to accept Resolution to establish a Policy for Accessibility of the Assessors office to the tax payers.  .  Roll call vote:  Ayes:  Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly.  Nays: none.  Motion carried.

Move Money from General Fund to Gypsy Moth Fund:   Motion by Reilly supported by Allen to transfer $13,420.00 from the General Fund to the Gypsy Moth Fund to pay for the 2021 spray application.  These monies shall be returned to the General Fund upon collection of the Gypsy Moth Special Assessment with the winter 2021 Taxes. .  Roll call vote:  Ayes:  Allen, Bassi, Houthoofd, Lewis and Reilly.  Nays: none.  Motion carried.

Committee Reports:  none

Board Comments:  Kudos to Fire Dept and MFR for their wonderful handling of the accident at Kokosing Road and M-65.  Very Proud of them. 

Motion by Bassi to adjourn at 7:05 pm.  All ayes.  Motion carried.
